  19. M*E*G*A-Key Kit is a complete ShareWare Registration Management package.  
  20. It includes:   Make-Key Menu Source Code, 8 Character Randomized Password 
  21. Utility, Key Registration System Door, Batch Installation, and a PassWord 
  22. Database Files System (PWMake).  Although it will run on just about any BBS 
  23. system, it was developed for WildCat!4.x.  Therefore, it has special support 
  24. for that particular BBS package in that the WCCode program (*.WCX) will handle 
  25. all the door functions and WildCat!4.x control codes.  However, if you aren't
  26. running WildCat!4.x, don't worry, it will also work as a stand alone 
  27. executable to prepare the password databases needed to run an on-line
  28. Registration System!

  30. This document covers the legalities, support, and update information for
  31. the "M*E*G*A-Key Kit" as well as installation, registration, and BBS Support
  32. information for the door itself.  Starting with version 1.1, there is 
  33. no longer any enclosed User document for PWMake.  For the remainder of this 
  34. document, unless stated otherwise, PWMake refers to the "integration program" 
  35. itself and not the entire package.

  72. All files have been tested with the Wildcat! BBS Package (07-94 Version) 
  73. and have been found to work flawlessly.  The program was converted from
  74. WCCode to QuickBasic and back.  If you have a problem, insure that the
  75. key file, is in the current directory and try running the program again, 
  76. then contact me and I'll see what I can do about fixing it!.  Much of the
  77. "M*E*G*A - Key Kit" is PUBLIC DOMAIN.  Please send comments to the appro-
  78. priate author.  Remember, I wrote the integration program (the glue that 
  79. sticks everything together); I cannot, nor will not, repair other authors' 
  80. work.

  103. removal of your registration without refund and may result in legal action.

  105. The PWMake package is distributed under the SHAREWARE concept.  Under this
  106. concept, you may use the unregistered evaluation version for a reasonable
  107. time period.  After this time, you must either register your copy or
  108. discontinue usage. Hey! It costs you a silly phone call to register. Just
  109. do it.  If you want the source code for PWMake, it will cost you 1 hour's
  110. wages!  Just pay it.  I believe it could take more than 1 an hour to write, 
  111. compile, trouble-shoot and debug both these programs.  So come-on, pay the
  112. minimum wage worker what he's worth......please!

  116. The distribution copy of PWMake is NOT CRIPPLED in any way!  It contains
  117. one annoyance screen as an incentive to register the source code!  
  118. However, the "silly" screens *WILL* stop once you've surrendered the massive
  119. fortune of $5 in exchange for the PWMake Source Code Package.

  135. Please note:  The $5 registration fee for PWMake DOES NOT include the
  136.               electronic media disk nor on-line processing fee.  This is an 
  137.               optional method of delivery and method of payment you choose.
  138.               Why charge for these? Why indeed! Because not all SysOps will 
  139.               need the source code mailed on a 3.5" disk, nor will some 
  140.               wish to register on-line.  Why charge those who don't want it?

  158. painless as possible.  Simply run the INSTALL program and answer ALL
  159. the questions it asks.  Once you've answered them the first time, you

  163. Wildcat SysOps - Most SysOp's running PWMake with Wildcat are using
  164.                  it as a "WCCode Program".  This will allow SysOps to
  165.                  build on-line registration menu and password security for

  177. Using PWMake as a door DOES require a monitoring program for dropped carrier, 
  178. I recommend DoorWay to help convert this program into a fully functional
